LIBRARY PROGRAMME

Books open up an entire world of stories, imagination, and wonder! Reading adds value to life, exercises the brain, and hone a child’s critical thinking abilities, which is why we emphasize inculcating reading habits in our children. Our Library Programme encourages inquisitiveness in children and has been designed to meticulously ingrain reading habits in them by exposing them to a wide range of genres, allowing them to experience each in a balance and discover their favorite. Through various interesting follow up activities, fun sheets, narration, bookmark making, poster making, and various competitions, the child is hooked to reading more and more, hence learns to express critically what they have comprehended. To imbibe reading habits in students and staff members, the school library offers the following:

  1. A wide range of latest fiction, poetry, prose, philosophical books, magazines, comics, newspapers, text-books, audio and video cassettes, CDs, DVDs and other visual aids await avid learners and readers.
  2. There are approximately 2,000 books in the library.
  3. Separate seating arrangement for primary and senior students.
  4. Computerized issue and return of books to students and staff members.
  5. Regular book reviews presented by students and staff members.
  6. Book Week is organized every year in which various Inter School and In House competitions are held.
