The Middle School Program at Sree Basaveswara Public Schoolcomprises of Grade VI to Grade VIII. In the Middle School students build on the foundations laid in previous years. New challenges are met as communication, reasoning, problem solving, and value judgement become more complex.
Emphasis is given to application of knowledge achieved through differential teaching methodologies such as student-led presentations, research projects, and technology-led learning.
The curriculum is designed in a way that promotes activity-based learning with sufficient opportunities for exploration, understanding the concepts of hypothesis, experimental procedures, observations and interfaces and activities that students can relate to real life scenarios.
Students in the Middle School pursue a common, comprehensive, academically-oriented curriculum, which prepares them for success in High School. The curriculum prepares students for various national and international

There will be two exams for 80 marks and two Tests in the academic year along with unit tests.
Final Evaluation will be based on Annual Examination (80 marks) & Internal Assessment (20 marks)
Annual Examination will be conducted covering the complete portion at the end of the year where maximum marks will be 80.
Internal Assessment (Per Midterm i.e June –Sept & Post Midterm Oct –March)
The marks distribution will be as follows:
(i) Periodic Tests – 10 marks
(ii) Notebook Maintenance – 5 marks
There will be continuous evaluation of Note Book maintenance on the following parameters –
(i) Regularity
(ii) Assignment completion
(iii) Neatness & upkeep of notebooks
(iii) Subject Enrichment Activities – 5 marks
Subject Enrichment Activities comprises of various techniques like ASL/ Reading/ Dictation/ Debate/Public Speaking and unit test marks for languages. Lab Activities/ Projects/ Map Work/ Model Making and unit test marks for other subjects.
